The Brief
A growing demand for low voltage cable jointers along with the anticipated increase in service position interventions required to support the Smart Meter roll-out programme was identified as a potential issue for Freedom and the wider industry.
The Approach
Freedom invested in a new cable jointing school based at our Normanton office, the facility has a classroom and a practical area with 10 dedicated work bays where individuals can train in a safe and controlled environment, while being overseen by highly experienced mentors.
The Delivery
The Jointing School was designed to train individuals to become a Jointers Mate then progress to a Service Jointer and finally becoming a Mains Jointer, as well as offering fault finding and Polarity courses, the facility can be used by external individuals to train for or sit examinations.
