Freedom’s quick storm damage repair work

Freedom’s quick storm damage repair work

On Thursday 18 January over 20 of our Overhead Line teams, supported by engineers and pole erection units, worked day and night carrying out storm damage repair work on behalf of our client, UK Power Networks, to restore power to more than 145,000 properties in the East of England after winds of over 70mph damaged trees and overhead power lines.

Tim Owens, Managing Director of Freedom Group’s Networks division, said: “Freedom will always fully support UKPN, one of our key clients, during times of system emergencies to ensure that power is restored in their customers’ properties as quickly and safely as possible. Our highly trained and professional teams are a credit to Freedom, guaranteeing that customer service and health and safety are paramount when carrying out work, which was evident in the way they operated during last week’s storm.”
