Complete definition stage, detailed design and preparation of technical documents for a new 132/11kV Grid Supply point project. Our scope included all civil & structural design, primary electrical design, control and protection systems design and the overall Project Management of the design process. We developed a 3D walk through model of the completed design. We also acted as Principal Contractor on site for extensive survey work and some enabling works during the design phase process.
Site consists of three new 132/11kV Transformers, 132kV GIS Switchboard and 11kV double busbar switchboard with over 80 circuits. A large cable basement and interface with 132kV cable tunnel has been designed. Substation is being developed within the footprint of an existing ex power station site in the East End of London requiring carefully controlled demolition and construction phases.
