The project consisted of the replacement of the two aged English Electric transformers with new 12/24MVA Brush Transformers and associated protection works:
- Provide detailed Civil, Primary and Protection Design
- Project Management and CDM site management
- Modify the existing transformer bunds and install two new brush 12/24MVA transformers, protection, battery and telecoms facilities
- Install, commission and energise T1 and T2
- Acting as owners engineer to witness test the two new transformers
- Installation of all power cables to new transformers
- Installation of multicore protection and pilot cables, containment and commissioning
- Protection systems installed and commissioned
- Network outages planned and undertaken by Freedom operational Engineers
- Supplying Freedom Senior Authorised Persons
