| Project Completion Date | February 2009 |
The Street Lighting Columns are situated along the prominent Llandudno Promenade in North Wales. Llandudno is one of the largest and most popular of the Welsh seaside resorts and it was important that the lighting scheme was sympathetic and would be in-keeping with the destinations Victorian character and charm.
On final completion all works were tested, commissioned and successfully energised in accordance with prescribed timescales and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
It was decided therefore to renovate the original cast iron columns and upgrade the lighting gear on all 96 lanterns along the sweeping promenade that runs between the Little Orme and the Great Orme.
NWP were contracted to install new Low Voltage supplies to each column and to refurbish the existing Feeder Pillars which housed new DNO connections. Following the completion of the work NWP were commissioned under a separate contract to erect a catenary system between the columns and install L.E.D. festoon lighting for the festive period.
On final completion all works were tested, commissioned and successfully energised in accordance with prescribed timescales and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
