For electricity connections for your future developments, you no longer have just one choice. The market is now open to competition for all but the final connection to the network. Freedom offers the exact same service as the local Distribution Network Operators (DNO), including the management of the final connection to the network, only with better terms and timing. As part of a turnkey solution we can design, procure, install and maintain private networks from 415V up to 132kV. We also provide surveys and wayleaves support to determine the best cable routes and to facilitate connections, whether underground or overhead.
Freedom also works with a number of Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) to deliver further commercial advantages to those customers wishing to explore and maximise the fully competitive market.
Contestable connections have been delivered for a number of high profile mixed use developments in London, Kent and East Anglia, for companies such as Mace, Galliford Try, Mount Anvil and Kier. We have also worked with Sisk, Farrans and Black and Veatch on wind and solar farm projects throughout the UK. Here, we have also provided balance of plant services, where we design, procure, install and maintain the electrical network. This has included all excavation and reinstatement works. We have also undertaken detailed site and utility surveys for many large project management consultancies and developers, such as: Atkins, Wardell Armstong, Wates, Bellway Homes and Bovis Homes.
With a fixed and better price for contestable connections than you would achieve with the DNOs, Freedom’s programme will be also be fixed and certain, with more favourable payment terms. Customer service is improved with a single point of contact, especially when the project includes both the contestable connection and private HV and LV network services. For your assurance, Freedom is Achilles UVDB and NERS (National Electricity Registration Scheme) registered and CHAS accredited.
