With particular attention paid to the harsh coastal environment, approximately 7km of 33kV overhead line was replaced using 120mm CCC conductor with and post type insulators.
Freedom’s own wayleave surveyors obtained all landowner wayleaves, Local Authority planning and DTI Section 37 consent.
The project scope required the replacement of 57 intermediate poles, 9 section poles, 1 H-pole and all stays. Specialist soil stabilisation techniques were employed to ensure the stability of the poles in marshland.
