Freedom Group has achieved Gold in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Award in recognition of continuous improvement and innovation to its practices and occupational health and safety management system.
The award will be presented to Freedom during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on Wednesday 4 July2018.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
David Hartley, Chief Operating Officer at Freedom Group, said: “We are delighted to have achieved a Gold RoSPA. At Freedom we place safety at the forefront of our business; not only does it keep all our people safe, it also helps to provide a more efficient and better quality service for our clients.
“Much of what we do in our daily work is considered high-risk, working within regulated and critical environments, and therefore an extremely rigorous approach to health and safety is required.
“This accolade is testament to our ongoing commitment and success to safety which has been achieved as a collective effort by all our people across Freedom Group.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
