Freedom Network Services Contract Wins - 27 July 2009

Freedom is pleased to announce that we have been awarded under a competitive tender two Overhead Line Engineering contracts by Scottish Power Energy Networks.
The contracts include the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of low and high voltage wood pole overhead line distribution assets throughout all of Scottish Power’s licensed distribution geographies in the UK.
These areas are SP Manweb; (Cheshire, Mersey Side and North Wales) and SP Distribution; (Southern regions of Scotland, including the Scottish Borders, Dumfries and Galloway and the M8 Corridor including Edinburgh and Glasgow).

opportunity to grow our business
The initial contract duration is up to 2 years and is likely to require deployment of up to 200 staff across both regions. The primary focus of the scope of works will be for the rectification of defects such as low ground clearance issues.
