This project involved Freedom in the civil and structural engineering design for a new 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear type substation at Rayleigh for EDF Energy.

The building design is two storey steel framed with insulated profiled steel cladding and in-situ reinforced concrete first floor. The client brief also included for design of the site compound, access roads, drainage and security fencing.

The overall size of the building is 32.10 x 14.00m.
