Originally the requirement was for a specific contract, however considering the number of times Freedom have carried out roof work it was soon apparent that the system could be used anywhere that minor work on a flat roof was being carried out.
The main advantage of the system is that operatives have edge protection at all times during the works.
The system involves the erection of a Tower Scaffold to the height of the roof and then using extra standard components hand rails are built to the work area on the roof; the only non standard components required are adjustable locking arms for the corners to rigidify. The system must be erected by a PASMA qualified person.
The main advantage of the system is that operatives have edge protection at all times during the works.
Other bonuses are that the operative (if qualified) doesn’t have to rely on others to provide access as with standard scaffolding and costs are reduced.
