Switchgear Replacement Project
Client(s): Milton Keynes General Hospital
Freedom replaced the 11kv switchgear in substations 1, 2, 2a, 3, 5 & 6 with new Schneider Ringmaster range. Each substation had to have the switchgear changed with the minimum disruption to the hospital and whilst the hospital carried on work as usual.
Civil Asset and Building Maintenance Contract

The scope currently covers the repair and maintenance and asset replacement covering all building trades on 17,000 sub-stations in the YEDL Area.

To answer client concerns about ‘Lone Worker’ Health and Safety Issues when tendering for NEDL Grounds Maintenance Contract, Freedom developed and utilised existing mobile phone technology to monitor and record single worker whereabouts.

Tower Condition Monitoring

The project involved a detailed visual inspection of every Tower and the production of a report on Circuit including multiple high quality digital photographs of every tower and any issues were highlighted and graded by severity.
Whitehall Road 33/11kV Substation

The Whitehall Road project involved the construction of a new 33/11kV primary substation to reinforce the increased load for Leeds City Centre developments. The project was constructed on an existing restricted substation site adjacent to a new Novotel Hotel.
Catterick Reinforcement

The Catterick Reinforcement project comprised the construction of a new 132/11kV substation at Richmond Skeeby to reinforce the supply to the MOD bases around Catterick.
