About Freedom

Founded in 1996 with a management buyout from Yorkshire Electricity, Freedom has grown significantly and now has offices throughout the UK, Europe & the USA. The company is increasingly recognised as a world class provider of engineering services to the utility sector and wider markets, working primarily with electricity distribution networks.

We are a major part of our holding company Spice plc, and as such, benefit from being part of a wider cross utility and energy supply business. Within our group, we have some well known businesses including British Power International in design, consultancy and advisory services, and Agrilek in renewable energy.

Developing Partnerships

By developing these partnerships, we have the capability to consult, design, build, install, maintain and replace assets on the distribution networks. In addition to this, Freedom also now provides services to a vast number of private network sites including universities, football club grounds, HM Prisons, hospitals, industrial businesses, docklands and many more.

Our "end to end" approach brings benefits to our clients and it allows us to identify key growth areas where we can add further value to our customers’ businesses helping them deliver real customer service and adding value to our shareholders.
